Fall in love favors

What better day for two people to marry than on Valentine’s day? My fiance and I both agreed on that day, we would get married. I went shopping for our ‘in love wedding favor‘ just as soon as we had all the arrangements for the church and our reception taken care of. I found the invitations I wanted in no time. They were such pretty invitations with little silver hearts linked together on the front. I messed up the writing on a couple of them, I’m so glad my mom suggested I buy extra just in case.

Now that the invitations were on their way, it was time to do some major accessories shopping. I asked my mom to come along on my venture to the bridal shop for my dress and shoes. She was a big help, once she stopped crying at every gown I walked out in. After hitting every shop in town and checking out the many styles that were available, I found the perfect wedding dress for me. It only took the groom to be and his groomsmen one stop to find their tuxes. I half way expected him to be dressed like a pall bearer, since he took the first thing he looked at. But I was wrong, he did good, and he looked extremely handsome.

After I took care of everything the wedding party needed, it was time to consider ceremony decorations. I hung big red velvet bows at the end of the pews and made sure there were plenty of red roses arranged around the room and at the altar. I bought a gorgeous unity candle with a love theme and surrounded it with lots of other beautiful candles. The church allowed me to have red and pink rose petals tossed down the aisle by our flower girl. There’s a lot of churches that frown on that tradition, but luckily ours isn’t one of them. Everything went off without a hitch and the decorations were as perfect as our wedding ceremony.

Even though I did quite a bit of shopping for our wedding ceremony, there was even more to do for our reception. Our supplies for the reception started with love theme decorations with a love theme and ended with fall in love favors. The decorations were really quite exquisite with hearts dangling from the ceiling and flowers everywhere. We had a heart shaped arch made of red and white balloons placed on the dance floor where the band was playing.

Our tables were so groovy with all the lovely centerpieces of flowers and a little cupid in each one. The little white pearls on the place card holders really added to the love décor of the tables. I also found very decorative favor boxes for  love favors we had for our guests. Our guests complimented us on our reception table décor and especially the little exquisite favor boxes. The bridal table was decorated pretty elaborately too. We were toasted with our lovely crystal heart champagne flutes and next to our wedding cake was our beautiful love cake serving set. The wedding cake was by far the most beautiful thing on our table. On top of our gorgeous cake sat a love birds cake topper. Everything on the wedding table was perfect, starting with our sparkling crystal all the way to the three tiered wedding cake.

Thanks to all the accessories and supplies I found online this wedding turned out to be absolutely perfect.

I got to the thank you notes for our guests as soon as we got back from our fabulous honeymoon. A lot of the guests sent thank you cards saying what a great time they had, and how much they appreciated the love party favors we bought for them. I think that was very thoughtful.

Wedding guest book!!

There wasn’t a bridal shop or accessories store I hadn’t checked for my wedding album and wedding guest book. I was really getting tired of looking and coming up empty handed. One of the girls at work told me to give the internet a try. So I decided to take a look online. And guess what? Not only did I find the wedding guest book I wanted, but a lot of my other wedding accessories too.

It was the perfect fairy tale guestbook for our wedding. I also ordered a pen and holder that was perfect for a storybook wedding. There was also lots of storybook ideas and the perfect wedding album for our wedding photos. I was really surprised at all the decoration ideas and the accessories they carried. We found everything from accessories for our wedding party to nice little gifts for the groomsmen and bridesmaids.

I’m so glad I didn’t have to go store to store looking for these accessories. Of course, we still had to go to a caterers, a bakery and take care of a photographer and band. We also had to shop for our wedding attire, but most of what I bought for our ceremony and reception, I bought online. Our exquisite guest book wedding items was no where near as expensive as they looked. In fact, a lot of our wedding accessories, and decorations, we got at a discount. When you have a limited amount of money to spend on your wedding, that really helps a couple that’s just getting started.

I couldn’t believe the gorgeous little favor gifts they had available and I must have gone over and over them, trying to make up my mind which ones to choose. This was our friends and family and I wanted to make sure I picked out the best in favors I could find. My fiance picked out the favors for the guys and I took care of the gifts for the women. We thought that would work out best. For each of our lovely lady guests, I picked out adorable wedding carriage candles that matched up with my fairytale theme. For the men at the reception, my fiance decided on keeping it manly and got everyone special shot glasses as thank you gifts.

I forgot to mention that when I ordered our wedding guest book and pen, I also ordered an extra. I got one for our wedding ceremony and the other  unique guest books. I wanted the names of everyone that was able to stay for the reception, because some of the guests had to leave. And what a celebration it was! We must have danced and partied half the night. I’m so glad I picked out the perfect wedding album for our pictures, one with scrapbooking and a special compartment for keepsakes. It held a lot of little souvenirs of our wedding, like an invitation, wedding napkin and other memorabilia.

Leaving the reception wasn’t easy, we were having such a great time, but we had to get to the airport and start our honeymoon. Some of our friends and family wished us well, gave their congratulations and thanked us for inviting them to our reception. I hope everyone really had a great time, I know we did.

My new, wonderful husband didn’t tell me where we were going for our honeymoon. I couldn’t have been more surprised to find out we were spending the next seven days in Orlando at a Walt Disney World Resort. He said he wanted to keep the fairy tale alive just a little longer for me. I not only have wedding pictures, but a whole separate album just for our honeymoon photos and I just had to get them developed as soon as we got back.
