The Party Thai

I decided, after looking at many wedding suggestions, to have a themed ceremony and reception party. So, now all that was left was to do was decide what theme sounded like the one I’d like to have. The country western theme seemed like it would be lots of fun. I pictured a reception party barn dance for our wedding day. We were having our wedding during the hot summer months, so a beach themed wedding sounded pretty great. We could have a great time, swimming, partying on shore and watching a gorgeous sunset in the background. There were a lot of themed weddings and receptions to consider. You could find anything you needed online for a themed wedding from wedding décor to a exquisite wedding server set. With all the themed wedding suggestions they had, I decided to go with the glorious fairytale wedding.

Since, I had made up my mind to use the storybook theme, it was time to find my accessories and reception supplies. First I ordered the lovely wedding invitations for our wedding guests. Then I started choosing all of our decorations and other wedding accessories. I wanted to have a Cinderella atmosphere to the whole thing. First I needed to get the decorations I wanted to use in the church. I chose some lovely tulle swags to be draped from pew to pew with beautiful satin bows at the end of each row. There were flowers in tall vases placed around the altar and taper candles in fairy tale themed candle holders on each side of our exquisite unity candle.

I also had a unique fairytale wedding guestbook for everyone to sign when they entered the church. I couldn’t have dreamed a more perfect fairytale ceremony than the one I had. The flower girl was so cute, and the ring boy looked very handsome as they perfectly performed their duties at the ceremony. We took a carriage ride to the reception, just like Cinderella and her Prince left their ceremony.

The reception hall was really beautiful with all the lovely flowers everywhere and the lovely tables all set up with crystal and silver. Every table in the reception hall had gorgeous crystal champagne flutes with decorated stems to go with our storybook theme. I found these very exquisite castles to use as place card holders on the reception tables. I filled adorable carriage designed favor boxes with little candies for each place setting at the reception.

Even though all of our reception tables were gorgeous, our wedding table was the most breathtaking. It was a table fit for a king and his queen. Our cake of five gorgeous tiers, with a fairytale wedding topper, sat at the end of our wedding table on a smaller table. While shopping for our other reception supplies I found the perfect fairytale cake topper there too. Even the fairytale wedding knife they had was special with it’s exquisite styled handle. The wedding cake knife set was so groovy, I wanted to buy more things that matched! The knife set just added to the décor of our wedding cake and topper.

After we were toasted with our lovely crystal champagne flutes, it was time for the bride and groom to have their first dance together as man and wife. We chose our favorite song, “I Swear” by all for one, as our first bride and groom dance. After our song was over, couples filled the dance floor, for the next song. There were so many photographs taken at the wedding and reception, I’m so glad I bought my fairytale wedding album for all these memories. Just before we left for our honeymoon, some of the guests thanked us for the lovely fairytale wedding favors we gave them.

Don’t ever let someone tell you that fairytales can’t come true, it did for us.

I started looking for all the accessories and supplies I needed for our wedding day, just as soon as we set the date. I’m a dedicated online shopper and so, of course, that’s the first place I went to find what I needed. I’m glad I did too, with all they had to offer there was no problem finding everything I needed to plan the perfect wedding and reception. Starting with the beautiful invitations I chose, and finishing with the super wedding favors for our friends and family.

We decided that a lovely theme wedding would be what we would like, and the theme we chose was a beach theme. The beach has been a special place for us and our friends ever since we were kids.

So the first thing I did was to order the beach themed wedding invitations and get them in the mail as soon as possible. There were no no’s in the RSVP’S, and they all seemed to be really looking forward to our wedding day. My bridal accessories were the next thing on my wedding list that I would need. I was surprised at all the exquisite wedding bridal accessories they carried for weddings and receptions, and I shop online quite a bit. I ordered the most beautiful tiara and hair comb from there. The wedding jewelry I found was just as gorgeous as the hair accessories I chose. I ordered a beautiful necklace and earring set that looked absolutely fantastic with my gown. The pearls and crystals on the necklace set really added to the elegance of my wedding dress.

There was a groovy bride accessory display that was so beautiful and even reasonable in price. I ordered some things for our honeymoon too. Even though we were getting married on the beach, I insisted on a floor length wedding dress. There were satin summer dresses for my bridesmaids and my flower girl, that had a knee length hemline. They all looked so lovely in their wedding attire.

There were tiki torches and those little white christmas lights everywhere and a dance floor my fiance had fixed there. On the reception tables there were seashells and starfish scattered about and place card holders that were adorable little sailboats. The wedding favors I chose were lovely photo frames with a beach design, because I thought they were so pretty and I know that’s something that they can always use. I think the picture frames I chose were to their liking.

On the bride and groom table were our toasting flutes, lovely candles in their beach theme holders and lots of lovely tealights. Our wedding cake topper was especially designed for a beach wedding just as all our other accessories for our reception. Our topper was a bride and groom taking a walk along the beach. With all the items and bridal accessories they had available, it was easy to make this wedding and reception a total success. We danced, ate tons of seafood, like shrimp, crab, lobster and of course we had other foods for those that didn’t like seafood. Everyone danced, ate and just had a fantastic time. I kinda hated to leave the party for our honeymoon, everyone was having such a great time.

The first thing I had to do when we came home from our honeymoon was get out my wedding guest book I bought online and make out all the thank you notes for the people that shared our wedding day with us. That was a day I’ll always remember and I’ll have lots of photos in my beach wedding album to look at and relive again and again.
