The Party Thai

My fiance and I set the date for our wedding in January, because I had my heart set on a winter wonderland ceremony and reception. There are so many beautiful accessories and reception supplies to make the perfect wintery wedding dream come true. Presents, invitations, reception supplies – you name it, there are all sorts of things out there for any type of wedding decor. Our wedding ceremony color scheme was in silver and wintery blue. Our altar had replica snowflakes next to the unity candle and other candles, which all had a wintry look to them. It was a magical wedding.
The white tableclothes at our reception looked lovely next to the red table runners on each table. In the middle of each reception table sat freshly cut white orchids inside of a glimmering silver vase, and it all went with the wintery ambiance wonderfully. Our reception place card holders were ornaments that looked like little snowballs. Not only are they beautiful card holders but they are awesome little ornaments as well. To express our gratitiude for their coming to our special day, we got our relatives and other loved ones champagne bottles favors and matching toasting flutes. personalized toasting flutes make great little thank you gifts. Our reception hall called to mind a scene of freshly-fallen snow in the middle of winter. We had a wedding cake with three layers; underneath it was a cake stand in the form of a sled, and above it was a cake topper made out of porcelain in the form of a snowflake. Our cake serving set was also a winter themed accessory I found while shopping online. Small snowflakes in shades of blue and white were on the handles. Perfect for our themed reception and the handles matched with the winter wedding guestbook and pen I picked out.
The handles on the toasting flute matched the sign in book and cake serving set we had, all with winter designs. The coloring scheme was cool blue and white with a few small snowflakes to match everything else on our table. Our reception guests loved the place card holders and other gifts that they received, and the look of the tables was to die for. We got our flower girl a necklace and we we let her keep the small crown she wore in the ceremony, and she was pleased with both of them. We got a ring boy tee shirt and a stainless steel yo-yo for our ring bearer, and he thought that was really neat. I got tank tops with crystals spelling out the word bridesmaid on them for all of my girls, plus I got my maid of honor a crystal bracelet besides. My new husband decided to handle buying the groomsmen’s gifts. The guys that stood up in our wedding all got digital clocks, with the best man got his own mug and pen set. I could tell that all of our friends and family were having a fantastic time at the reception and they all seemed to like the little favors and gifts we bought for them.
Everything at our wedding and reception was fantastic and I owe it all to the wonderful selection of accessories and supplies I found online. The prices that we found on the Internet were so good that we saved a significant amount of money by looking there. I found supplies for both the wedding and the honeymoon online. We found a shirt and hats that said ‘Bride’ and ‘Groom’ on them, and a pillow to hang outside our door indicating that we did not wish to be bothered. The ‘Do Not Disturb’ pillow ended being a very practical choice.

Online shopping for our reception accessories, flower baskets, and ring bearer pillows was my mom’s idea. She said it beats running from store to store and all there is to do is check them out, order the ones I like and wait for delivery. I found everything from invitations to wedding favors, and some items at wholesale prices. There was also quite a few other items that I was able to get at a discount. I saved money on all the tiaras I needed for myself, bridesmaids and my flower girl, plus a lot of other accessories, like flower girl basket, rose petals and I also found terrific ring bearer pillow wedding suggestions. I couldn’t believe all the adorable ideas for ring pillows.

As far as reception supplies, they had everything. So many choices of glassware and candles to add to the elegance of each table. If you need favors for themed weddings or destination weddings, they have that too. Some for a beach wedding, winter wedding, garden wedding and more, with beautiful and decorative favor boxes to choose from too. If I were having a Vegas theme reception I could have gotten the cute little novelty favors they have for it, like keychains, photo books and more.

The crystal paperweights I bought made the perfect little thank you gifts for our guests. They were almost to lovely to put into their favors boxes, but the packaging only added to the tables elegant appearance. I found the perfect cake topper. Our cake topper was so beautiful it almost out shined our wedding cake. The beautiful satin bow and butterfly just made our cake even more beautiful.

Everyone seemed impressed with the décor and their wedding favors. I got so many thank you’s from our guests for their gifts. But you know what else was so great about this place, they have a lot more than cake toppers and a wedding ring bearer pillow. There are ideas and selections for all parties, including showers, birthday and girls night out parties. My sister just told me the other day that she got all the favors and supplies she needed for my bridal shower at the same place I bought my wedding supplies. It was all courtesy of mom’s suggestion.

I’m planning on giving my sister a baby shower next month and I know exactly where I’m getting the party supplies and cake topper. I already know what supplies and favors I want to order, but I have to do that until some time next week. That’s when we get to find out if I’ll have a little niece or a little nephew. Even though there are a lot of neutral colors I could use, I’d rather try to have the décor and supplies in a boy or girl theme.

My mother’s suggestion on shopping by computer really helped out a lot in terms of time and money. My mom also helped me so much with arranging my reception and helping me get the thank you cards all done. I couldn’t have done it without you, mom. I promise I’ll keep this place in mind when it’s time for our anniversary parties. There are great little suggestions for anniversaries, even decorations, cake toppers and little thank you gifts. I found suggestions that would be perfect for our mom and dayd’s 30th wedding anniversary party. I think I’ll get a hold of my sister so we can check out the possibilities together. No use waiting until the last minute, it’s not that much longer before they reach their 30th year as man and wife.

Once we decided on a beach wedding, I started looking for all my accessories and supplies they had in a beach motif. I started with our beach themed wedding invitations. One thing I discovered was to be sure you always buy extra invitations, just in case you make a mistake and have yourself a do over, like I did. After I got the invitations out of the way, my next step was finding the right dress for a beach wedding. I looked at several dresses and gorgeous full length gowns, but really couldn’t make up my mind. I was unsure about the two full length wedding gowns I found, I didn’t want to be uncomfortable at my beach wedding. I found a beautiful beaded knee length dress made of light weight materials of satin and lace, with spaghetti straps for my wedding.

Linen beach dresses with a crocheted halter covering was what I chose for my bridesmaids. My handsome groom wore a sky blue linen shirt and white linen pants and his groomsmen wore white linen shirts with sand colored linen pants. Our flower girl wore an adorable little sundress and the ringboy stayed nice and cool in his little khaki shorts and white cotton shirt. Everyone in the wedding party looked fantastic and the bouquets were absolutely the most beautiful arrangements I could have found.

I kept thinking how I should have bought two albums for wedding, because I wanted lots of pictures of our wonderful beach wedding and reception. I planned to have pictures of all the fantastic decorations at our wedding and reception and photos of every guest that attended. I was sure to let the photographer know I wanted plenty of photos of our vow exchange under our satin canopy and lovely flowered arch. After we were pronounced husband and wife, we left for the hotel to change from our wedding attire to our beach attire. Some of the bridesmaids and groomsmen wore their swim wear under their wedding clothes, and some went home to change. We told all of our guests to dress casually.

Everyone thought our reception tables were so beautiful with all the beach themed wedding accessories I had found for them. I bought everything for our tables at the same place I bought our lovely beach themed wedding album. The little beach chairs I found worked out perfectly as place card holders and they made great little picture frames too. I really liked them and I’m sure our guests did too. Some of the guests were commenting on the gorgeous décor of our reception tables. I added some tiki torches everywhere and put gel candles on all of our guests wedding reception tables to help add a touch of atmosphere to everything. My sister is going to have a baby in a few months and I’m throwing her a baby shower, guess where I’m getting all of my shower supplies? I’m pretty sure on the items I’ve checked out so far, and plan to order them some time next week. By that time I’ll know if she is having a boy or a girl. Then I can order the favors in pink or blue, even though there are other neutral colors I could choose.
