I really like a theme wedding. They can really be a blast. I got to go to a really super wedding and reception last weekend. It was a country western themed ceremony.
They chose a small country church to hold the wedding ceremony. They had satin bows and ribbon to decorate the pews and beautiful flower arrangements with candles all around the altar. The baby blue dresses that the bridesmaids and flower girl wore were simply gorgeous, and the flowered hair pieces were a lovely added touch. The groomsmen and ring boy looked quite handsome in their tuxes with little white boutonnieres in their lapels. But nothing could compare to the elegance of the bride and groom. They were a picure perfect couple. A horse drawn buggy awaited to take the bride and groom to the reception.
The couple had purchased a nice little ranch outside of town and that’s where they decided to have their reception. What a gorgeous place they had with a beautiful house and horse barn on two acres. I hate to admit it, but I’m a little jealous of all they have accomplished just starting out.
She did a fantastic job arranging her reception. Everything was fantastic. Wild flowers centered on each table really gave it that down home look. From the country décor to the theme wedding favors, everything was perfection. Around the reception tables it was lit up with lanterns and white christmas lights everywhere. There were bales of hay stacked here and there with corn stalks on the barn doors. They had things for the children to do so they could have as good a time as the grown ups. My husband and I did a little dancing while some played horse shoes or gave apple bobbing a try. We were all having a fantastic time.
They had a gorgeous cake with a funny country western cake topper that gave everyone a good laugh. It was the perfect novelty topper. They even had country themed champagne flutes for the bridal toast. And on each and every table she had little cowboy hats that were used as place card holders. That was such a unique idea.
There was plenty of delicious foods for everyone at the party. Since this was more like a country barbecue, there was plenty choices of meats, salads and vegetables. There was plenty of great food to choose from. Lots of music, dancing, games and food to last all evening. The country western theme was a blast.
Another fun reception is a beach party reception. The beauty of a beach wedding is just amazing. The sun setting in the water makes a very romantic scene. The warm breeze and the sound of the waves simply adds to the ambiance of the ceremony. If I ever get married, I think this is the type of ceremony and reception I would want to have.
The bridesmaids wore gorgeous summer dresses and the groomsmen wore drawstring pants and linen shirts. She made a lovely bride in her ocean blue flowing crepe dress, and he was such a handsome groom in his white linen beach outfit. The whole ceremony was absolute perfection, just like dream.
The reception was something special too. Everything for her table décor had something to do with the oceanside. Seashells, orchids and little starfish placed in a sand filled tray, with a gorgeous white candle on each side, was her centerpieces. Each and every guest had adorable little seashell place card holders, and champagne glasses with beach themed decorations on the stems.
She had everything in a beautiful beach décor, from her wedding cake topper to the wonderful theme wedding decorations she had put together. This was a ceremony and reception I will never forget.
