Choosing a summer wedding favor!

It was a lot easier than I thought it would be to plan my outside wedding and reception. It turns out that it was a lot cheaper in cost than it would have been to have an indoor wedding. Having the natural beauty of the outdoors saved us a lot of money on decorations. I checked out a lot of places to have our summer wedding and reception. I thought about a super beach wedding and reception, or maybe have it in a gorgeous garden, but I decided to have our ceremony and reception in the park. I found several perfect parks that would work fine for our wedding day.

I wasn’t really sure where to start, so I shopped around for some much needed suggestions. I found out you need to have a plan B, in case inclement weather unexpectly arises. It’s a good idea to have a tent ready to continue your ceremony if it becomes necessary.

We had canopies arranged for our reception and barring bad weather, planned to be wed under a lovely trellis. I mainly concentrated on the decorations for our wedding table and the reception tables. With the beautiful background of the park as our main décor, all I really needed besides table settings were a few extra flowers here and there. I decided to go with artificial flowers because I didn’t want to have our wedding to be the target of a bee swarm. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and didn’t look artificial at all. Although planning wasn’t as difficult a chore as I thought, there were quite a few things to take care of. There are some spectacular summer wedding themes, but the sun can turn your beautiful wedding cake into a gooey pool of confection.

I found quite a few terrific accessories that I could use for the reception. Each of our guest had a park bench place card holder and the centerpieces were flowers arranged around a glass globe with citronella votive candles inside. For each of our guests there were beautiful chrome bottle openers in lovely designed favor boxes, as a summer wedding favor. The most beautiful part of our wedding table was our cake with it’s gorgeous wedding cake topper.

I found it while browsing online for my other wedding accessories, and fell in love with it. They do customizing for the bride and groom. All I had to do was send in a head shot picture of me and my fiance and they custom made a bride and groom cake topper with our faces. What a wonderful momento of our wedding day. Our friends and family were really loved the cake topper and gave us a lot of compliments on it. All the wonderful accessories I ordered for our reception and wedding ceremony came from the same place, including our champagne flutes and silver cake set. It’s unbelievable all the lovely accessories you can purchase from you computer.

It was the perfect wedding and reception, just like I had hoped for. Plan B never had to be used, since the weather was so beautiful, and thankfully it remained that way through the whole evening. The DJ we hired was really exceptional and I’m sure that the music played on long after my new husband and I left for our honeymoon. There were many good comments about our beautiful wedding ceremony and fun filled reception party we had. I’m so glad I decided to go with a wedding in the park. If we celebrate one of our anniversaries with a wedding renewal, I want to have it in a gorgeous park again.Technorati Tags: , , , , , , , , ,

Finding the right summer wedding ideas!

Planning an outside wedding wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. It wasn’t as expensive as an indoor wedding would have been. Since we had the beauty of nature all around us, it wasn’t too expensive to decorate. I checked out a lot of places to have our summer wedding and reception. I could have had our wedding ceremony on the beach, with a fun filled beach party reception, or an quisite garden party, but I chose a ceremony and reception in the park. I was surprised at all the parks available for weddings.

I wasn’t really sure where to start, so I shopped around for some much needed suggestions. If you’re going to have your ceremony outside, it’s a good idea to have an alternative plan just in case the weather turns on you. So we arranged to have a tent set up to move the ceremony into if necessary, just as a precaution.

Plan “A” was setting up a gorgeous trellis for our ceremony to be performed under and canopies for the reception. I mainly concentrated on the decorations for our wedding table and the reception tables. With the beautiful background of the park as our main décor, all I really needed besides table settings were a few extra flowers here and there. I thought artificial flowers would be best, since we didn’t want a bee invasion ruining our ceremony. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and didn’t look artificial at all. Although planning wasn’t as difficult a chore as I thought, there were quite a few things to take care of. You want to make sure you have plenty of citronella candles scattered about, and that the rest rooms are within walking distance, and make sure your frosting on your cake doesn’t melt in the heat.

As far as table décor, I found so many fantastic accessories for our reception. Each of our guest had a park bench place card holder and the centerpieces were flowers arranged around a glass globe with citronella votive candles inside. For each of our guests there were some groovy chrome bottle openers in lovely designed favor boxes, as a summer wedding invitation. One of the most decorative things on our wedding table was our exquisite wedding cake with the beautiful cake topper I ordered.

While shopping for my wedding accessories I saw this topper and couldn’t resist it. They were especially customized for the bride and groom. All I had to do was send in a head shot picture of me and my fiance and they custom made a bride and groom cake topper with our faces. How could I ask for a better wedding keepsake than that? All of our guests were so impressed with our topper, they couldn’t stop talking about it. All the wonderful accessories I ordered for our reception and wedding ceremony came from the same place, including our champagne flutes and silver cake set. You wouldn’t believe all the nice accessories you can buy online.

Well, the wedding was beautiful and the reception was just as perfect. Thank goodness the weather stayed perfect throughout the entire ceremony and reception and we never had to put plan B into action. We had a wonderful DJ that I’m sure, kept the music going long after we left for our honeymoon. There were many good comments about our beautiful wedding ceremony and fun filled reception party we had. I’m so glad I decided to go with a wedding in the park. If we should decide somewhere down the line to have a renewal wedding ceremony, I think I’d like to have it in the park again.
